Trust Montana is working with Agrarian Trust and Vilicus Training Institute to establish the first Agrarian Commons in Montana. The Commons will be a 501(c)25 that will hold land, longterm-lease it to farmers, and ensure the land is stewarded responsibly. As more Montana farmers and ranchers approach retirement age, and land prices increase, the Montana Agrarian Commons will work to ensure land is accessible to beginning farmers.
